Spending the day outdoors at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is much easier with the opening of its new cafe. Aptly named Park & Ocean, visitors can take advantage of recreational activities without leaving the grounds for a meal.
The casual eatery faces the beach on A1A from a shady grove on the southeast side of the park. Beachgoers or guests who rent bikes and watercraft can dine and head back to the water.
Folks who choose to linger in the shade can play Jenga, bocce ball and corn hole on the eatery’s 3,000-square-foot patio, or relax in Adirondack chairs with a cool drink.
“Given the opportunity to work with Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, we decided to develop a concept that is truly unlike any other here in Fort Lauderdale,” said Steven Dapuzzo of Society 8 Hospitality Group.
